Lawrence Paul Ahn, Jr., 21, of Scandia, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 15, 2017.  Larry was born August 12, 1995, in Abington, PA. He is the son of Lawrence and Katherine (Roberts) Ahn.

Larry was a 2013 graduate of Eisenhower Middle/Senior High School and attended Penn State Behrend.  While in high school, he earned his black belt through Johnson's Black Belt Academy of Warren.  He was currently working as a customer service representative at McKissock.  Larry enjoyed music and playing the guitar; he also enjoyed outdoors—hiking, fishing, kayaking, and camping.

In addition to his parents, Larry is survived by his maternal grandparents, Fred and Lorraine Roberts of Warminister, PA; paternal grandmother, Carole Ahn, of Southampton, PA; paternal grandfather, Will Ahn, and wife, Gina, of Cheltenham, PA; paternal great-grandparents, Wilbur & Betty Ahn, of Ulysses, PA; aunts and uncles—Nikki and Ray Savage, Fred and Lisa Roberts, Bill and Anita Ahn, and Karen Ahn; five cousins, Ryan, Cormac and Brighid Savage, and Ryan Ahn, and Sean Ahn; and his longtime girlfriend, Alexandria Shrefler.

Friends will be received at the Scandia Covenant Church, 18 Peterson Road, Russell, on Saturday, June 10, at from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m., at which time a memorial service will be held there, with Rev. Jon Meyer, pastor, officiating.
