Lavonne Saber, 79, of Warren, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2016 at Kinzua Health Care, following a lengthy illness.

Lavonne was born November 17, 1937 in North Warren, the daughter of the late Lafe and Lavina (Wenzel) Devore. She was a lifelong area resident, and a graduate of the Warren High School. Lavonne was employed at Sylvania as a forklift operator. Her other full time position was raising and cooking for her four boys. She and her late husband went everywhere together, including Ben White's Racetrack, where she raced in the Powder Puff Queen racing cars. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and also loved her Buffalo Bills. She was a member of the Moose Lodge #109, and the Sugar Grove AMVETS.

She is survived by two sons, Joseph Saber and wife Cindy, of Irvine, PA, and Scott Saber and wife Jackie, of Warren, PA; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Hoden, of Warren, and Betty Stewart,  of Warren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death on December 1, 2009, by her husband,William James Saber, whom she married on April 27, 1956; two sons, Brian Saber, and Randy Saber; a granddaughter, Stephanie Saber; and a sister, Joyce Clark.

Friends will be received at the Peterson - Blick Funeral Home, Inc, 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, PA, 16365, on Tuesday, November 29, from 10 to 11 am, at which time a memorial service will be held, with Rev. J. Maier, pastor, First Church of the Nazarene, officiating.
