Kenneth H. Knopf, 84, of Brookston, PA, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at his residence. Ken was born May 26, 1940, in Warren, the son of the late Kenneth F. and Mary (O'Neil) Knopf. Ken spent most of his life living on Dutch Hill Rd in Conewango Township. He graduated from Warren High School in 1958. He served in the U.S. Army from 1959-1962 in Alaska. Ken worked at Anderson's Market and then at Rexnord, where he retired as a Machinist. Ken was an active member of the Emanuel United Church of Christ. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 135. He loved to tell stories about when he raced stockcars at Stateline Speedway as a teenager. Ken is survived by his three children, Tina L. Travis (Rory) of Warren, Kenneth J. Knopf (Sherry) of Darien, GA, and Michael A. Knopf (Ann) of Mathews, AL. He has six grandchildren, Nicole Travis, Katie Travis, Kristen Travis, Rebecca Alexander, Cooper Knopf, and Carter Knopf; and four great grandchildren. He is also survived by his longtime companion, Carol A. Spicer of Brookston, Carol's children, Steven Spicer (Robin) of Saybrook, Stephanie Litchenberger (Mark) of Sheffield, Andy Spicer of Marienville, Wayne Spicer (Leajoy) of Warren, and Nathan Spicer (Brittany) of Barnes, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian E. (Charnisky) Knopf, whom he married on January 6, 1962, and two sisters, JoAnna Staybrook and Marie Teconchuk-Bell. Friends will be received at Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. E., Warren, PA, on Sunday, April 27, 2025, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. A funeral service will be held at Emanuel United Church of Christ, 1710 Penna. Ave. E., Warren, PA, on Monday, April 28, 2025, at 11:00am, with Reverend Melissa McLean, pastor, officiating.
