Kenneth R. Klenck, 88, of Warren, PA, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2015, at Warren Manor. Kenneth was born November 6, 1926, in Clarendon, PA, the son of the late Raymond Klenck and Anna Mason Klenck.
Kenneth was a graduate of Warren High School. He served in the US Army during World War II in the Japanese Theatre. Retiring after 30 years from the US Postal Service as a mail carrier, Kenneth had previously worked for Sylvania, Deluxe Metal, and with his father at their small family lumber mill in the Cherry Grove area for many years. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed playing bocce at the Warren Senior Center. In his younger years, he enjoyed the outdoors and going camping up in New York with his children.
He is survived by two children, Steven R. Klenck, of Warren, PA and Sharon E. Wilkins, and husband, Thomas, of Leland, NC; one granddaughter, Jennifer Wilkins, of Leland, NC; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death on June 21, 2007, by his wife, Elaine G. Klenck, whom he married on January 3, 1953; and two sisters, Dorothy Salisbury and Ruth Walchli; and a niece, Valerie Karr.
Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. E., Warren, on Thursday, January 22, from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Friday, January 23, from 10 to 11 a.m., at which time, a funeral service will be held there, with Rev. J. Maier, pastor, and Rev. Stephen Rieder, co-officiating.
Burial will be in Warren County Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Church of the Nazarene Building Fund, 907 Penn. Ave., E., Warren, PA 16365.
