Kenneth W. Burford, 70, of Scandia, Pa., passed away unexpectedly Friday, August 19, 2022, at his home. Kenny was born on March 12, 1952, the son of the late Robert and Sylvia "Louise" Cathcart Burford. He was a 1969 graduate of Eisenhower High School and attended Murray State University and University of Kentucky. Kenny was a lifelong resident of the Russell/Scandia area. He was a talented musician and played with many local bands. He worked for several years at Ace Hardware in Warren and was presently working at Wilcox Brothers Hardware in Sugar Grove. He also loved to play golf and spent his youth and beyond hunting, fishing, outdoor life in general with family and great friends. He was generous with his time to help others. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. He was a member of the Cable Hollow Community Church. Kenny is survived by his brother, Daniel Burford of Scandia; Sister, Jane McCarthy of Virginia; three nephews, Forrest Burford, and Brian and Scott McCarthy; His three cats, Lizzy, Lola, and Layla. Friends will be received at the Peterson – Blick Funeral Home, Inc. 1003 Penna Ave E. Warren, PA on Friday, August 26, from 5:00pm to 8:00 pm. An additional viewing will be held on Saturday, August 27, from 10:00am to 11:00am, before the 11:00am Memorial Service, with Pastor Alan Jones, officiating, at the Cable Hollow Community Church, 3157 Cable Hollow Rd, Russell, PA.
