Kay M. Knox, 85, of North Warren, died Thursday, August 17, 2017, at Warren General Hospital. Kay was born December 10, 1931, in Niagara Falls, NY. She was the daughter of the late Roland and Nancy (Fox) Shepherd.
Kay was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School. She was employed with various offices in the Niagara Falls area and had worked at Bell Aircraft for many years. She also obtained her cosmetology license and had operated her own shop in Grand Island, NY. She and her husband, Bob, moved to the Warren area 15 years ago and were members of the First Church of the Nazarene. Foremost, Kay loved God. Family defined her life; she loved her children and grandchildren. A gracious hostess, Kay was always preparing her home for various showers and celebrations for those she knew. She also enjoyed knitting.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert James Knox; three children—Timothy Knox, of Florida, Stephen Knox, and wife, Ann, of Virginia, and Ann Meyers, and husband, EJ, of Warren, PA; two brothers-in-law, Ronald and Douglas Knox, of Grand Island, NY; three grandchildren—Ellwood J. Meyers, III, Michaela Ordiway, and Kaylee Knox; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Kay was preceded in death by her sisters—Jean Stivers and Linda Harris.
Friends will be received at the First Church of the Nazarene, 907 Penn. Ave., E., Warren, PA, on Monday, August 21, from 10 to 11 a.m., at which time a funeral service will be held there, with Rev. J. Maier, lead pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Warren County Memorial Park, Warren, PA.
