Kay M. Knapp Greenawalt, 78, of Warren, Pa passed away peacefully on Monday December 14, 2020. She was born January 30, 1942 in Bradford, Pa to the late LeRoy and Flossie Knapp. She grew up in Warren, Pa and was a 1960 graduate of Warren Area High School where she was a drum majorette. Kay met her husband Sherwood at Loranger Manufacturing where they were both employed. They married in 1970 and were married for 28 years until Sherwoods death in 1998. Kay has resided most of her life in Warren, Pa and lived for many years in Largo, Fl. She was employed at Warren General Hospital for many years. She had previously been employed by Loranger Manufacturing and practiced private nursing. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Warren. Kay enjoyed bowling, cake decorating, ceramics and her yearly visits to Florida. Kay cherished her fur babies. She was predeceased by her husband Sherwood Greenawalt, brothers Clyde and William Knapp, brother-in-law Marvin Heeter, and sister-in-law Sandy Knapp. Kay is survived by her 4 children Lori Burnside and husband Wade of Derry, Pa., Julia Trott and husband David of Ormond Beach, Fl., Chad Greenawalt and wife Anissa of Warren, Pa and Darla Bjorkquist of Tiona Pa. Sister Barbara Heeter of Sheffield, Pa and brother Calvin Knapp of Warren, Pa. Sisters-in-law Jean Knapp, Loretta Knapp and Joanne Greenawalt. 4 Grandsons Jacob and Justin Burnside, David and Vincenzo Trott. 4 Granddaughters Rachel Marotta, Amanda Trott and Ava and Macy Greenawalt. 7 Great grandchildren Anthony, Rocco and Bella Marotta, Finley, Bowen, and Charlotte Burnside and Tegan Trott along with several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. The Peterson Blick Funeral Home has been entrusted with funeral arrangements and interment will be in Smith cemetery.
