Katrina Lane Walker, 42, of Russell, Pennsylvania, passed away on June 1st, 2026 surrounded by her family.
Born on August 27th, 1983 in Warren, Pennsylvania, Katie was the daughter of Cynthia (Dahler) and the late Timothy Walker. A native of Russell, Katrina attended Eisenhower High School and Mercyhurst College. She was employed by the State of Pennsylvania Department of Human Services.
Throughout her life, Katrina, also affectionately called Katie, Kate, Kate-O, and Katie Lane, was known for her cheerful spirit, perfectly timed sense of humor, and infectious laugh that brightened everyone’s day.
Kate-O’s greatest joy in life was her family and close-knit groups of friends. She cherished spending time with the kids of her family and friends, including the Sullivan, Goodwill, and Nelson kids—always going the extra mile to make the kids laugh, including dressing up as the Easter bunny!
Kate was always up for a good time. She especially enjoyed cheering on the Eisenhower Knights marching band in which she was a former member, attending Penn State football games with high school friends, and trips to Florida to visit her cousin Emily.
Katie took great pride in her community and was involved in revitalization projects in Russell (ROAR), and never missed a Fourth of July parade in Warren. Kate spread her kindness to the community by being an active member in Caring for Life.
Kate left a lasting impression on all who knew her. What will be missed the most about Katie will be the little things—tagging along with her cousin Abby, car rides with Aunt Lane and Uncle Tom, and daily/weekly check-ins just to say hi with friends.
Katie Lane is survived by her mother (madre), Cynthia Walker, with whom she had a close bond; her Uncle Tom and Aunt Lane Walker; cousin Abby (Walker) and Mike Sullivan and their kids Cole, Brooke, and Molly; cousin Emily (Walker) Goodwill and Joel and their boys Isaac and Ian; lifelong friends Bob and Linda Nelson and their families; and many close-knit friends. Katie and Abby shared a special bond and both often referred to Katie as the 6th member of the Sullivan family.
Katie is proceeded in death by her father, Timothy Walker, maternal grandma Harriet Font and step-grandfather Tony Font, maternal grandfather Robert Dahler and paternal grandparents Ralph and Barbara Walker.
It brings us peace to know Katie is reunited with her father, Tim, who was one of the most important people in her life.
Visitation will be held at Russell United Methodist Church, 17 N. Main Street,Russell on Saturday June 6th at 10:00 a.m. , with a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. All who knew and loved Katie are welcome to attend and celebrate her beautiful life.
