Obituary

I, Kathryn Jeanne (Tremblay) Rodgers, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2020, after a 4-year battle with colon cancer. I was born on July 25, 1972, in Warren. I am the daughter Arden Myles and Nichole Jeanne (Kiser) Tremblay, the best parents a girl could have ever asked for and are loved beyond words. I was a cheerleader for Beaty and WAHS and a member of the WAHS Marching Band, as a drummer. At WAHS, I was a part of the Acapella Choir and Madrigals. During High School, I worked at CVS on Second Avenue and at the YMCA teaching aerobics classes and helping with camps. I was also a waitress at the Peppermill Restaurant. I was a graduate of Slippery Rock University, with a dual major in Environmental Ed. And Elementary Ed. After college, I worked as a Park Naturalist at the Chapman State Park. In 1997, my first full-time teaching job, was third grade, at Sugar Grove Elementary. I also worked at Allegheny Valley Elementary and at WAEC. Most of my teaching career was with third grade students, which I loved dearly. In addition to my parents, I am survived by my two dear daughters, Madelyn J. Rodgers and Zoe K. Rodgers, who will always be loved to the moon and back, just as they loved and cared for me; my sister, Marjie Stevenson, her husband Leif and their children, Liam and Erika Stevenson, that have always been a huge support system; my loyal dog, Daisy May, who never left my side; and several aunts and uncles and a wonderful tractor load of cousins, in which I held so many loving memories. I was preceded in death by my grandparents, Myles and Alice Tremblay, Richard and Jeanne Kiser; my uncle, John Kiser; and my cousins, Julie Kiser Stewart and Dale Yucha. To my friends who prayed for me, talked with me, made dinners, and helped in so many ways, I thank you for helping me make the transition between life and death more comforting. Donations can be made to Hospice of Warren County, 1 Main Ave. Warren, PA 16365 , who made me more comfortable at the end of life; Warren Cancer Center, 105 Lee St, Warren, PA 16365, where excellent care was provided throughout treatment; or Warren Area Elementary School, 343 E 5th Ave, Warren, PA 16365, where my awesome friends continue to provide our children of Warren with an exceptional education. Services will be announced at a later date.
