Obituary

Karen E. Dalrymple, 69, of N. Warren, passed away on Friday, September 7, 2018, following a lengthy illness. Karen was born April 16, 1949 in Warren, PA to the late Glenn and Geraldine (Baker) Slocum. She was a lifetime Warren resident, and a 1967 graduate of the Warren area High School. She was employed at various local businesses as a secretary or administrative assistant, including the Boy Scout office, H&R Block, and Beacon Light. She attended the North Warren Presbyterian Church. Karen's focus was her family and especially her son Patrick. She was always very supportive and proud of his activities and accomplishments. Karen also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and friends. She is survived by her husband, Larry Dalrymple, whom she married August 16, 1969; her mother Geraldine (Baker) Slocum; her son, Patrick Dalrymple, of Orlando, Fl; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Glenn Slocum, and her twin brother, Larry L. Slocum. Friends will be received at the Peterson- Blick Funeral Home Inc., 1003 Pennsylvania Ave. E. Warren, PA 16365, Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018, from 4 to 7 P.M. A funeral service will be held Monday, September 17, 2018, at 11:00 A.M., Rev. Buddy Ward, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery. The family has requested memorial donations be made to the Struthers Library Theatre, 302 W 3rd Ave, Warren, PA 16365.
