Karen Sue Beck, 70, of, Mt. Jewett, PA, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2024, at UPMC Kane. Karen was born August 18, 1954, in Oil City, PA, the daughter of the late Donald B. and Alice E. (Morrison) Umstead. She was employed in Custodial services at many places. Karen was a volunteer at the Mt. Jewett Library and went to the Mt. Jewett Senior Center. She enjoyed thrift shopping, scratch off tickets, walking, playing cards, and coloring games. Karen enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. Karen is survived by two daughters, Brenda Banks and boyfriend Scot Ohl of Warren, and Bobbie Valarius and husband Jeffrey of Custard City, PA; four grandchildren, Nikita Williams and fiancé Kenny Bedford of Sheffield, Haley Williams of Kane, Darryl Kring Jr., and girlfriend Heidi Johnson of Kane, and Trista Kring and fiancé Austin Fox of Kane; and two great grandchildren, Noah Fohrd of Sheffield, and Aria Kring of Kane. In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by an infant son, Donald; sister, Roberta Sturdevant; and brother, Robert Umstead. Friends will be received at Peterson-Blick Funeral Home Inc., 1003 Penna Ave. East, Warren, PA, on Friday, December 27, 2024, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.
