Josephine Marie Parks, 93, formerly of Warren and Scandia, died Friday, November 24, 2017, at the Kinzua Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center.  Josephine was born March 27, 1924, in Warren, PA. She is the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Anna (Ploss) Stingel.

Josephine raised nine children and enjoyed knitting.

She is survived by four daughters, Georgia Houghwot, of Union City, Ella Drayer, of VA, Elizabeth Parks, of DuBois, and Shirley Greene, of OH; 2 sons, Wayne E. Parks, Jr., of NV, and Samuel Parks of Kane.  She also has 17 granddaughters, 13 grandsons; many great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne E. Parks, Sr.; 3 children, Kathryn Baran, John Parks, and Barbara King; 5 sisters, Mary French, Anna Billsborough, Laura Thomas Beebe, Elizabeth Barnes, and Rosa Nyquist; 2 grandsons, Gary Beebe, and Cody Bertch; 1 granddaughter, Linda Brown; and an infant granddaughter.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.  Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
