Josephine McClymonds Brown, 78, formerly of Warren, PA passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2014, at the Rouse Home.  Josephine was born July 20, 1936 in Pittsburgh, PA. She is the daughter of the late Dr. Joseph A. and the late Vera Pisor McClymonds.

Mrs. Brown was a graduate of Slippery Rock High School; she then went on to receive her B.A. in Elementary Education.  She taught in the Butler Area School District from 1958 to 1962.  Moving to Warren in 1964, she was a private tutor and substitute teacher for the Warren County School District for 8 years.  Mrs. Brown was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, where she served as the Financial Secretary for 14 years, retiring in 1988.  She had also served on the Christian Education Committee for 5 years and was a member of the Sanctuary Choir for 3 years.

She is survived by three sons, Jeffrey Brown, and wife, Anita, Cheektowaga, NY, Gregory Brown, and wife, Krista, Latrobe, PA, and Matthew Brown, and wife, Renae, Chuluota, FL. She also has nine grandchildren, Stephanie Brown, Ryan Brown; Megan Brown, Anthony Brindisi, Theresa Glowacki, Katelyn Brown, Jennifer Brown, Adam Brown and Dylan Brown; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death on July 25, 2006, by her husband, Dale LeRoy Brown, whom she married on June 14, 1958.

Friends will be received at the First Presbyterian Church, 300 Market Street, Warren, on Sunday, January 4, from 2 to 3 p.m., at which time, a funeral service will be held there, with the Rev. Jeffrey Ott, pastor, officiating.

Burial will follow in Warren County Memorial Park.
