Joseph Thomas Tome, 77, of Warren, passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at the Warren General Hospital. Joe was born September 5, 1943 in Warren, PA, the son of the late Jay W. and Frances E. Plunkett Tome. Joe was a lifelong Warren resident and a 1961 graduate of Warren Area High School. He served in the US Air Force from 1962-1966. He was employed for twenty- three years as a data processing supervisor at the National Forge Company, and with Blair Corporation for eleven years, from which he retired. Joe loved to read, he enjoyed sports and was a diehard Red Socks and Detroit Lions fan. He especially enjoyed his family and friends and will be missed by many. He is survived by his wife, Marie Gerardi Tome, whom he married on May 15, 2003; a son, Kevin M. Tome and wife Heather of Youngsville, PA; a daughter, Lisa Tome Wright and husband Jeffrey of Columbus, OH; two stepsons, Matthew and Ryan Willis, both of Warren, PA; a brother, Terry Tome of Hamilton, OH; four grandchildren, Samantha Shepard (Jeremiah), Sarah Tome, Zoe Wright, and Max Wright; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his brothers, Byron "Red" Tome, and James Tome; and a sister, Jeane Fredericks.
