Joseph M. Prosen, 90, of Warren died Saturday, March 11, 2017, at the Warren Manor.  Mr. Prosen was born August 15, 1926, in James City, PA. He was the son of the late John and Antone (Ludwick) Prosen.

Mr. Prosen served in the US Navy during World War II.  Following his service time, he was employed by the Merchant Marine and sailed the Great Lakes.  He was a member of the First Church of God in Warren; the Olive Temple Lodge No. 557 Free and Accepted Masons; and the Shriners. Before the passing of his wife, Jenny, they had been enjoying the life of "snowbirds"—splitting their time between Warren, PA and St. Marys, GA.

He is survived by one daughter, Pamela Dawn Kitelinger, and husband, Delbert, of Clarendon, PA, and one son, Ross John Prosen, and wife, Melanie, of St. Marys, GA; five grandchildren, Shane Bednez, Shannon Kitelinger, Chris Prosen, Seanna Prosen and Josh Prosen; 9 great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Tony Ross, and wife, Julie, of Warren; one sister-in-law, Rochelle Mohney, and husband, Mike; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death on December 19, 2014, by his wife, Yvonne "Jenny" Prosen; two brothers, John Prosen, Jr. and Tony Prosen; and sister-in-law, Ivy Prosen.

Friends will be received at the Peterson - Blick Funeral Home, Inc, 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, on Tuesday, March 14, from 10 to 11 a.m., at which time a funeral service will be held there with Rev. Bill Hargenrader, pastor of First Church of God, officiating.  A Masonic funeral rite will be conducted there at 10:45 a.m. by members of the Olive Temple Lodge No. 557.  Military honors will be provided by members of the Youngsville American Legion Honor Guard.

Private burial will be in Barnes Cemetery.
