Obituary

Joseph Henry Miller, 54, of Clarendon, passed away on August 4, 2017.  Joe was born December 17, 1962, in DuBois, PA. He was the son of the late Patrick Henry and Betty Louise (Lindemuth) Miller.

Joe was a 1981 graduate of Sheffield High School.  He briefly worked for the Blair Corporation before attending Williamsport Area Community College, achieving an Associates degree in Machinist Technology.  He was employed with Cody Well Service for 3 years until attending Rochester Institute of Technology where he made Dean's List for three years, graduating with high honors with a degree in Computer Integrated Machining Technology.  Upon graduation, RIT offered Joe the opportunity to teach.  He tended wells for Synergy Oil and Gas, Inc. until he obtained a knee injury.  He was a member of the Clarendon Vets Club and the owner of Miller's High Gloss.  He enjoyed skiing, hunting, fishing, camping, being with friends and family, and always had his dog, Dozer, by his side.

He is survived by his sister, Jennifer Epling, and her husband, Bill, of Clarendon; niece, Makala Wilkins; nephew, Cody Epling; great-niece, Shayla Jo; and great-nephew, Wyatt.

Friends are invited to attend a burial service will be held at Barnes Cemetery on Saturday, August 19, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Stacy Shaffer, pastor, officiating.  A Celebration of Life service at the Clarendon Vets Club Pavilion will follow immediately after the burial service.
