Mr. Joseph W. Klopf, 75, of 1756 Chapman Dam Rd., Clarendon, PA, died at Warren General Hospital after being stricken at his home, on Tuesday, November 5, 2002, at 8:30 a.m.

Mr. Klopf was born July 10, 1927, in Buffalo, NY, the son of the late John R. and Louisa Marter Klopf. Mr. Klopf was a resident of Clarendon for the past 15 years, and formerly of Buffalo, NY. He served in the U. S. Marine Corp during WWII. He was employed with Interstate Motor Freight, Buffalo, NY for 27 years retiring in 1981. He was a member of the Clarendon United Methodist Church.

He is survived by a daughter: Debbie Reist of Warren; three sons: John Klopf of Forestville, NY, Joseph Klopf of Silver Creek, NY, and Michael Klopf of Clarendon; four step sons, Robert Burge of Clarendon, PA, Fredrick Burge of Erie, PA, Scott Thomas of Clarendon, PA, Brion Thomas of Ludlow, PA; two step daughters, Frances Gibson of Warren, PA, and Theresa Leach of Sheffield, PA; one brother: Edward Klopf of Eaton, OHIO; one sister: Mrs. Gerard (Margaret) Manzella of Lockport, NY; eight grandchildren; twelve step grandchildren ; five great grandchildren ; two step great grandchildren ; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Ailene Bailey Klopf, four sisters, Virginia Fuson, Lucy Stojek, Mary Myers, and Veronica Turner; a brother, John Klopf, and his first wife, Irene Hall Klopf.

Friends may call at the Peterson - Blick Funeral Home, Inc, 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, PA on Thursday, November 7,  from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. , where a funeral service will be held on Friday, November 8 at 11:00 am, with Rev. Martin Reynolds, pastor Clarendon United Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in the Erie County Memorial Park, Erie.
