John C. Peterson, 94, of Biddle St., Warren, PA, died Sunday, March 20, 2016 at the Warren Manor. John was born October 8, 1921 in Sheffield, PA, the son of the late Clifford and Josephine (Dunn) Peterson. A lifelong area resident, he was a 1940 graduate of the Youngsville High School. He served in the Army during World War II and The Korean War. John was employed at the National Forge Company for thirty six years as a Machine Operator, from which he retired in 1983. He is survived by four grandchildren, John A. Peterson (Cindy), Michael A. Peterson, Linda M. Jerread (George), and Amy M. Blum (John), all of Warren; ten great grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; his daughter in law, Melanie Peterson, and two nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Georgia M.(Schreier) Peterson in 2007; a son, Rue E. Peterson, in 2002; and a sister, Mildred Hendrickson. In accordance with his wishes, no services will be observed. Burial in Westview cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.
