John Richard Kiser, 69, of Pleasant Township, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2014. John was born May 15, 1945, in Warren, PA. He is the son of the late Richard Royce and Jeanne E. Reynolds Kiser.

John was a graduate of Warren High School.  He served in the US Army as a Code Breaker during the Vietnam War.  He had been employed by Osram-Sylvania, from which he retired in 2004.  He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and the American Legion.  John also enjoyed reading, music and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Susan J. Gustafson Kiser, whom he married February 14, 1970; and two daughters, Kellie Carlson, and husband, Jeffrey, of Warren and Wendy Franks, and husband, Phillip, of Tidioute; one son-in-law, Timothy Stewart, Warren, PA; one sister, Nicki Tremblay, of Warren; and three brothers, Norman "Bud" Kiser, of Erie, PA, Kit Kiser, of Warren, and Kevin Kiser, also of Warren; nine grandchildren, Daniel Moore, and wife, Shelby, Nathan Moore, Trevor Moore, Jeanah Carlson, Dakota Wilson, Phillip Franks, Travis Franks, Kaylin Franks and Emma Franks; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Julie Stewart, on January 16, 2000.

Friends will be received on Saturday, November 29, at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc. 1003 Penna. Ave. E., Warren, from 2 to 4 p.m., at which time, a funeral service will be held there, with The Rev. David M. Blank, pastor, St. John's Lutheran Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Warren County Memorial Park.
