John G. Cantrell, 57, of Sugar Grove, PA, passed away unexpectedly on August 22, 2019, in Erie, PA. John was born on September 18, 1961, in Portsmouth, OH, son of the late Charles and Martha (Henson) Cantrell. John was a graduate of Sparrows Point High School in Maryland,and for the past twelve years he was a driver for Crossett Inc. John was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hiking, four wheeling and time spent with his family. He is survived by seven children, Tim Cantrell, Sugar Grove, PA, Brandon Cantrell, Jamestown, NY, Shannon Cantrell, of Utah, Mary (Preston) Cantrell, of Jamestown, NY, John Cantrell Jr., Danielle Cantrell and Jeremy Cantrell, all of Maryland; one sister, Theresa Cantrell, of Maryland;one brother, Michael Cantrell; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Cantrell; four nieces, April and Jennifer Jaworski, and Caitlin and Molly Cantrell; and one nephew, David Morrison. Friends will be received from 11am-1pm on Monday, August 26, 2019, at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave, E. Warren, PA 16365. A funeral service will follow at 1 pm, with Rev. Bill Beatty, pastor of Grace United Methodist Church, officiating.
