Joanne M. Poulson, 81, of Warren, PA, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at the Kinzua Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center with her loving husband and daughters by her side. Joanne was born on October 7, 1941, in Warren, the daughter of the late Stanley and Mary Szall Sobeck. She was raised in Pittsfield, and was a 1960 graduate of Youngsville High School. She worked at Struthers Wells, the Warren County Courthouse, and was a secretary for Human Services from which she retired in January of 2000. She was a member of the Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church and volunteered there for many years. She enjoyed bowling, and camping at Lake Erie in Ripley, NY for years. She spent her winters at Hilton Head in South Carolina, and Treasure Island in Florida. Joanne will be forever remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to many. Joanne is survived by her husband, Ronald E. Poulson, whom she married on September 5, 1964; children, Laura Poulson McDonald and husband Steven of Warren, and Nancy Poulson Birt and husband Paul of Scandia; her grandchildren, Sydney Fitch and fiancé Matt Snyder of Buffalo, Lily Fitch and boyfriend Colton Mulkins of Mayville, Molly Birt Moore and husband Eric of Scandia, and Haylie Birt and boyfriend Brendan Cole of Buffalo; a great granddaughter, Hayden Moore; a brother Tom Sobeck and wife Bonnie of Erie, PA; a sister, Barb Shield and husband Bob of Erie, PA; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church, 11 Russell St. Warren, PA, on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, from 10:00am to 11:00am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am with Reverend Stephen Schreiber, pastor, officiating.
