Joanna N. "Joanne" Nosel, 85, formerly of Russell, PA, completed her mission on earth on October 30, 2014, and has gone to be with the Lord.  Joanne was born December 1, 1928, in Irvine, PA. She is the daughter of the late John and Nellie Dirilak Zawacki.

Joanne graduated from Youngsville High School and worked at GTE Sylvania for 27 years, retiring in 1986.  For 18 years, she and her husband were the joint owners of Nicks Nacks Antiques in Russell, PA.

She is survived by her daughter, Trish Valone, and husband, Ralph, Jamestown, NY; her son-in-law, Tim Robbins, Russell, PA; daughter-in-laws, Cecelia Nosel, Jamestown, NY, Becky Nosel, East Northport, NY; six grandchildren, Zachary Nosel, Nathan Nosel, Laurie Landman, Chad Valone, Vicki Hughes, and Nikki Schultz; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death on October 29, 2004, by her husband, Nick Nosel, whom she married October 12, 1946, at St. Joseph Church; two sons, Allen Nosel and Douglas Nosel; one daughter, Karen Robbins; and three siblings, Wanda Sanders, Frank Zawacki and Ed Zawacki.

Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc. 1003 Penna. Ave. E., Warren, on Sunday, November 2, from 6 to 8 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 600 Penna. Ave. W., Warren, on Monday November 3, 2014, at 10:00 am, with Fr. Richard J. Toohey, pastor, officiating.  Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
