Joan M. Moore, 85, of Scandia, PA, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at the Warren County Rouse Home, Youngsville, PA. Joan was born July 2, 1939, in Hancock, NY, the daughter of the late Raymond G. and Laura M. Darling Francisco. She graduated from Warren High School. Joan was employed as a cafeteria worker in the Warren County School District for many years. Joan was a member of the Scandia Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, canning, horses, dogs, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and many family and friends. Joan is survived by her husband of 66 years, Lawrence W. Moore; five children, Mike Moore and wife Sherry of Scandia, Jeff Moore and wife Brenda of Scandia, Doug Moore of Warren, Debbie Nyberg of Akeley, and Julie Carter of Scandia; twelve grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; sister, Mary Follett of the Rouse Home, Youngsville; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Brenda Sue Moore. Friends will be received at Peterson-Blick Funeral Home Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. E., Warren, PA, on Sunday, July 28, 2024, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm and then for one hour prior to a funeral service to be held there on Monday, July 29, 2024, at 11:00am, with Reverend James Swanson, pastor, Pleasant Community Church, officiating.
