Joan V. Brown, 81, of Warren, PA, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2026, at Warren Manor.

She was born on December 5, 1944, in Pensacola, FL to the late Williams and Ruth Edwards.

Joan married Joseph L. Brown Sr. on May 10, 2014.

Joan graduated from Warren Area High School in 1963. She previously worked at Blair Corp and was a part of the Salvation Army. She was a member of Good News Community Church in Warren where she was the church organist; she was also an organist for the Salvation Army. Joan loved shopping on Wednesdays. She was a generous and caring person.

Joan is survived by her loving husband Joseph L. Brown Sr., her daughter Teresa Tarbox of Sherman, NY, her grandsons, Daniel K. (Cindy) Dunmor, of Gowanda, NY and Andrew Baribeau of Brocton, NY; stepdaughter, Christine (David) Pierce of Grant's Pass, OR; stepsons, Joseph L. Brown Jr., (Stephanie (Quinn)) of Vancouver, WA, Rev. Jonathan (Sharon) Brown of Savannah, GA; seven step-grandchildren, three step great-grandchildren, and two nephews, Scott and Victor Edwards of Louisville, KY.

In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Miranda Y. Tarbox, and her brother, Dale Edwards.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Peterson Blick Funeral Home 1003 Pennsylvania Ave E. Warren, PA 16365. Visitation will be on Friday May 22, 2026, from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM followed by a Homegoing Service at 12:00 PM, with Pastor Larry Condron officiating.

Interment will take place at Warren County Memorial Park at a later date.
