Jessie R. Austin, 81, of Pleasant Township passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2014, at UPMC Hamot Medical Center.  Jessie was born January 30, 1933, in Erie, PA.  She is the daughter of the late Walter H. and Ruth V. Torngren Austin.

Jessie was a graduate of Villa Maria High School.  She was employed as a secretary for the former Warren National Bank, the former National Forge and the Warren State Hospital, from which she retired.  Jessie will always be remembered for her love of sweets.  She also enjoyed reading and watching TV.

She is survived by her brother-in-law, Steve Cosmano, Russell, PA; three nieces, Cathy Phillips, and husband, Bill, and Stephanie Tannler, and husband, James, all from Warren, PA, and Georgia Trimper, and husband, James, Sr., Getzville, NY; one nephew, Jim Jackson, of Ft. Myers, FL; seven great-nieces and great-nephews, Steve Phillips, Susan Campman, and husband, Joe, and their daughter, Lexi, Emily Bailey, Sarah Tannler, and fiancé, Nick Wood, Michelle Trimper, James Trimper, Jr., and wife, Sue, and their children, Grace, Patrick and Adam, and Steve Trimper, and wife, Heidi, and their children, Messina and Daniela.

In addition to her parents, Jessie was preceded in death by her two sisters, Audine E. Schwab and Marcia A. Cosmano.

Friends will be received at the Peterson - Blick Funeral Home, Inc, 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, PA on Saturday, July 12, from 2 to 3 p.m., at which time a funeral service will be held there, with Rev. Neil Siefert, pastor, officiating.  Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Russell, PA.
