Jeffrey James Lyle, 63, of Coopersburg died peacefully, Thursday, August 10, 2017, at St. Luke's Hospice in Bethlehem.

Jeffrey was born on August 25, 1953, in Warren, PA, the son of the late Wilber D. & Sara (Swanson) Lyle.

He graduated from Warren Area High School in 1971 and went to the United Electronics Institute in Akron, Ohio graduating in 1974.

He developed his career in computers, working for Leeds and Northrup and Unisys. He retired in December of 2016 from the Aetna Information Services Architecture Lab.

Jeffrey loved movies and music especially early rock and the modern jazz artists. He also enjoyed skiing, windsurfing, boating and four wheeling earlier in life and returned to his love of cars, planning to restore his classics in his retirement.

In addition to his wife Wendy, whom he married in 1980, at the First United Methodist Church in Warren, PA, Jeffrey is also survived by two brothers Don Lyle wife Linda of Daniel Island, S.C. and Drew Lyle wife Anne of Abingdon, MD., a sister Faith Murphy husband Glen of Transfer, PA., four nephews, Glen Murphy, Jason Lyle, Evan Lyle, and Brent Miller, three nieces, Justine Smith husband Mike, Hannah Lyle, and Adele Kleman husband Brian, and three great nephews, Ryley Murphy, Gavin & Ian Kleman.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 14, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad St. Quakertown, PA 18951.

A visitation will also be held at Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, 1003 Pennsylvania Ave, E., Warren, PA,  on Thursday, August 17, 2017, from 10 to 11 a.m., at which time a funeral service will be held there, with the Reverend Mark Hecht, pastor, First United Methodist Church, officiating.  Burial will follow in the Warren County Memorial Park, Warren, PA.
