Janelle C. Moore, 79, of Warren, PA, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at Kinzua Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, Warren, PA. She was born February 26, 1944, in Kane, PA, and grew up in Ludlow, PA, the daughter of the late Herbert Anderson and Florence Carlson Anderson. She was a 1962 graduate of Kane High School and attended one year at Jamestown Business College in 1964. She was employed as a school secretary at Home Street Elementary School for 20 years, where she also helped out in the school cafeteria. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran church in Warren and a former member at the Moose Lodge #109, where she enjoyed playing bingo with her friends. She enjoyed going to the YMCA, going for walks, word finds, soap operas, especially the "Young and the Restless," and the "Bold and the Beautiful." She was an avid sports fan, who loved the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Pirates, Penn State Nittany Lions, and the Duke Blue Devils. She especially loved her dogs, Willie, Lucy, Charlie, Ollie, and Sadie. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mom, grandmother, and friend to many. Janelle is survived by her husband, Richard D. Moore, whom she married in 1968; children, Darren Moore and wife Dawn, and Debra J. Moore, both of Warren; grandchildren, Kohl Nosel, Kamryn Moore, Carson Moore, and Madelyn Nosel; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, Janelle is preceded in death by her grandmother, Alma Carlson, to whom she was very close. Friends will be received at Peterson-Blick Funeral Home Inc, 1003 Penna Ave. E., Warren, PA, on Friday, December 15, 2023, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at 12:00pm, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 306 Conewango Ave., Warren, PA, with Reverend Heather Allport-Cohoon, pastor, officiating.
