James R. Sherry, 65, of Sugar Grove, PA, died unexpectedly on Monday, September 14, 2015 at his residence. Jim was born May 26, 1950 in Warren, the son of the late James W. and the late Charlotte (Berlin) Sherry. He attended Eisenhower High School and then worked as an auto body technician for many years. He was employed by many local shops and owned and operated his own shop in Lander for many years. Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and especially enjoyed family. He is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Sherry, Pittsburgh, PA; two sisters, Susan Douglas (Mike) of Hebron, OH, and Christine Shannon (Dan) of Warren; a two brothers, Jeffrey Sherry (Diane) of Sugar Grove, and Randy Sherry (Deborah) of Warren; one granddaughter, Alexis; a sister in law, Sherilyn Sherry, Warren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death on September 19, 2010, by his wife, Cynthia Rae Abbott Sherry, whom he married on March 16, 1974 in Busti, NY; and his brother, Steven Sherry. In observance of his wishes, services will be private and at the convenience of his family. In memory of Jim, memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
