James A. Marquis, 81, of 108 Lexington Ave, Warren, PA, died on Friday, April 17, 2026, at UPMC Hamot, in Erie, PA.
He was born in Warren, PA on December 29, 1944. He lived there all of his life. He graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1962. He also attended Jamestown Business College.
James was preceded in death by an infant daughter Kristina in 1972 and by his mother Mildred Marquis 1994. Also all his grandparents and aunts and uncles.
James is survived by one son Steven J. Marquis and his wife Stacie, of Greenville, SC, and two grandchildren of South Carolina, Nicholas J. Marquis and Sarah Nicole Marquis; his daughter, Doretta “Vickie” Victoria Haines and her husband Brian of Warren, PA; and James’ long-term companion, Cathy Millard; his 5 sisters and one half-sister, Gay Ann Scalise of Warren, PA, Mrs. Terrie Larson and her husband Larry of Lander, PA, Mrs. Linda Morrison, and her husband George “Skip” of Warren, PA, Mrs. Patty O'hanlon of South Carolina and her husband Jim of South Carolina, and Mrs. Debbie Orn and her husband Tom of Oklahoma, one half-sister Mrs. Robbin Porter and her husband Robert of Florida. Also, several nieces and nephews.
James worked for Renord Corp. for 31 years before having to retire in 1999 because of bad health.
James was a member of the Lakewood Rod and Gun Club. Also, of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Loyal Order of Moose #109. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church.
He loved riding motorcycles and did a lot of woodworking in his spare time. James loved traveling and going down south to see his grandkids. His kids and grandkids were his life, and he loved them with all his heart.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc. 1003 Penna Ave E, Warren, PA, 16365. Services for James will be private.
Interment will take place at Oakland Cemetery.
