James Lee Guthrie, Sr., 75, of 9 South Morrison Street, Warren, PA, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2017, at Warren General Hospital.

James was born July 27, 1942, in Cadogan, PA, the son of the late Charles W. and Georgia L. (Knapp) Guthrie.  James was employed by the City of Warren for many years as a Traffic Control Mechanic, from which he retired.  A dedicated husband and father, James' family was his entire life.

He is survived by four daughters, Kimberly Guthrie Stewart, and husband, Jason, of Warren, Cindy Guthrie, and companion, Mike Cameron, of Warren, Charmane Guthrie Winslow, and husband, Troy, of Warren, and Tammy Guthrie Case, and husband, Chris of Surf City, NC; two sons, James L Guthrie, Jr., and wife, Holly, of Falconer, NY, and John Guthrie, and wife, Helen, of Warren; seven siblings, Chuck, Robert, John, Sue, Toot, Tiny and Peach; sister-in-law, Jeanette Zurcher, and companion, Phil, of Warren; 11 grandchildren, Amanda, and husband, AJ, Carisa, and husband, Noah, Courtney, Jennifer, Madison, Elisette, Jiordyn, Geoffrey, Sheldon, Jeremy,  and Brandon; four great-grandchildren, Ganesa, Nathaniel, Ethan and Kalina; and many, many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, James will be reunited with his soul mate and best friend, Jane L. (Zurcher) Guthrie, who passed away February 3, 2017; and his brother, Chuckie.

Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc. 1003 Penn. Ave. E., Warren, on Monday, November 6, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., at which time a funeral service will be held there with Rev. Dale Haight, pastor, officiating.
