Winona L. "Ivy" Prosen, 85, of Warren, PA died Sunday, February 28, 2016.  Ivy was born October 4, 1931 in Distant, PA. She was the daughter of the late Elwood C. and Bessie Henry Ross.

Ivy was a 1949 graduate of Warren High School.  Most recently, Ivy had worked for the former DHS (Lakeshore Services) as a caregiver, retiring in her late 70's due to illness.  In her younger years, she had been employed by Sylvania and had worked in the daycare at the First Church of God.

Ivy's faith was of the utmost importance.  She was a lifelong member of the First Church of God, and had served as their organist for over 50 years.  She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and loved the outdoors and doing yard work.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Tony F. Prosen; two sons, Randy Prosen, and wife, Cecelia, of St. Marys, GA, and their children, Julie Ann and Jeralyn; and Rick Prosen, and wife, Angie, of Sheffield, and their children, Miranda, Malloree and Ricky;  two siblings, Tony Ross, and wife, Julie, of Warren and Rochelle Mohney, and husband, Mike, also of Warren; one great-grandchild, Zoey; brother-in-law, Joseph Prosen, of Warren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Yvonne "Gen" Prosen.

Friends will be received at the Peterson - Blick Funeral Home, Inc, 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, on Thursday, March 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral will be held at First Church of God, 1111 Madison Ave., Warren, on Friday, March 4, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Bill Hargenrader, pastor, officiating.  Burial will be in Warren County Memorial Park.
