Ivan L. Tuller, 85, of Russell, PA, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Golden Living -Kinzua Valley. Ivan was born August 26, 1927 in Warren, PA, the son of the late Orrie and Isabella Atkins Tuller.
Growing up in Big Bend, Kinzua, PA, he worked on the family farm and worked as a logger .
Ivan served in the US Army as a military police officer in the European Theater during World War II. He was then a construction superintendent who worked on the Citadel and also worked at the VA Hospital in Greenwood, SC and in the Charleston, SC area. He continued to work construction in the Warren area until his retirement.
Ivan was an avid golfer and bowler; he enjoyed hunting and camping in Redhouse, NY. He and his wife were members of the Grotto.
He is survived by his wife, Emily Sorensen Tuller, whom he married October 22, 1945; four daughters: Rebecca Hice of Warren, PA, Barbara Schmader of Export, PA, Bonnie Barnett, and husband, James, Blue Ridge, VA, and Deborah Priest, and husband, Robert, of Warren, PA and one son, Leonard Tuller, and wife, Linda of Palm Coast, FL; one brother, Sterl Tuller of Mountain Home, ID; thirteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Linnford Tuller and Lyle Tuller; his step-father, Albert Eikenburg, and son-in-law, Michael Schmader.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
