Irvin S. "Bud" Bailey, 76, passed away on May 3, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital in Erie, PA. Bud was born on June 8, 1945, in Sayre, PA, the son of the late Richard Bailey and Helen Shaffer Bailey. Bud served in the U.S. Navy from 1962-1965. He was an active reservist for the balance of 20 years. Bud was a machinist for Struthers, Blackstone, and Osram Sylvania, from which he retired. Bud was Mayor of Clarendon for 12 years and was a member of the Clarendon Volunteer Fire Department. Bud enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, fishing, playing guitar, and doing his daily crosswords. He was a regular at the Peppermill Restaurant in Warren. Bud loved his family and especially his grandchildren; he will be remembered as a wonderful and loving husband, father, and grandfather. Bud is survived by his wife Cheryl "Cheri" Crappio Bailey, whom he married on May 11, 1968; a daughter, Tracy Knowles and husband Gerry of Clarendon, PA; two sons, James Bailey and wife Maria of Monroeville, PA, and Chad Bailey of Clarendon, PA; siblings Carol Dibble and husband Don of East Smithfield, PA, Margie Fowler of Towanda, PA, Richard Bailey and wife Carol of Sayre, PA, Diane Elvidge and husband Jim of Milford, PA, Susie Carlton and husband Jim of Arkansas, Tom Bailey and wife Darla of Port Allegheny, PA, Joyce Walter and husband Tim of Beverly Hills, FL, and Ray Bailey and wife Debbie of Warren, PA; his grandchildren. James Bailey, Marisa Jaquay, Emily Knowles, Nicholas Knowles, Taylor Proper; great grandchildren Lonzo Cruz, Stella Jacquay. In addition to his parents, Bud is preceded in death by his twin brother Ivan, brothers Robert and John, and a sister Donna, in infancy. Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home Inc, 1003 Penna Ave. E. Warren, PA, on Friday May 6, 2022, from 6 to 8pm, and for one hour prior to a funeral service to be held there at 11am on Saturday May 7, 2022, with Rev. Jim Crossley, officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Clarendon Volunteer Fire Department, 17 N. Main St. Clarendon, PA, or to the Warren General Cancer Care Center, 105 Lee St. Warren, PA.
