Irene C. Anthony, 96, of Middleburg, Florida, and formerly of Warren, PA,

passed away on February 6, 2022, at Orange Park Florida Hospital after a severe stroke.

Irene was born July 9, 1925, in Pittsburgh, PA, the daughter of the late Andrew and Victoria Hodnicki.

Irene is survived by her daughter & caregiver Marcia Anthony Franklin of Middleburg, Fl; her two sons, Kent Anthony and wife Vicki of Lewisberry, PA, and Mark A.

Anthony of San Diego CA; her seven grandchildren whom she regarded as

Children, Jeremy, Eric, Sharon, Ryan and Emily Franklin, as well as Dustin and Brandon Anthony, Kira Gnage; and four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was the last remaining sibling of seven children, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Anthony: and her daughter, Sharon Ann Anthony.

Irene was a member of Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church in Warren, PA. She spent most of her working career as the Executive Secretary in charge of the Selective Service Board in Warren, Pa, followed by two years at the United Refining Co.

in Warren, PA. and concluded her career as the head of timber sales for the U.S. Forest Service.

Friends will be received at the Peterson Blick Funeral Home, 1003 Penna. Ave E., Warren, PA, on Sunday, February 13, from 2. to 5 pm.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am on Monday February 14, 2022, at the Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church, 11 Russell St. Warren, PA, with Rev. Stephen Schreiber, pastor, officiating.

Burial will follow at the St. Joseph's Cemetery.
