I. Doreen Pascarella, 94, of Russell, died Monday, August 8, 2016, at Warren General Hospital . Doreen was born January 19, 1922, in Arthur, Ontario, Canada . She is the daughter of the late Fredrick and Emma Retta (Andrews) Tilley.

Doreen was a member of the Russell Fire Department Auxiliary and was scheduled to receive her 40 year pin this week, the Russell Lioness Club, and a member of the 4L's.  For many years, she and her husband operated Pascarella's Corner Grocery Store in Russell.

She is survived by two children, Linda Nelson, and husband, Robert, of Russell, and Daniel Gleaton, and wife, Dalene, of Baytown, TX; her grandchildren, Angela Tome, her husband, Eric, and their children, Kendyll and Bodie; Antoinetta Lindell, and her son, Cameron; and Robert Nelson, and his fiancé, Jamie Madigan; Mike and Tim Pascarella, and Julie Pascarella Blouch, and their children; as well as numerous step-great-grandchildren; and many relatives in Fergus and Arthur, Ontario.

In addition to her parents, Doreen was preceded in death on July 15, 1996, by her husband, James P. Pascarella, whom she married April 10, 1954, in Frewsburg, NY;  two sons, James P. Pascarella, Jr. and Fred Smith; a daughter, Edith Gumond;  and siblings, Alex and Stella.

Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc. 1003 Penn. Ave. E., Warren, on Thursday, August 11, from 5 to 7 p.m., and at the Russell United Methodist Church, 17 N. Main Street, Russell, on Friday, August 12, from 10 to 11 a.m., at which time a funeral service will be held there, with Rev. David Heckman, retired pastor, officiating.
