Hilma Rose Kibbey, 84, of Warren, passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. Hilma was born July 20, 1941, in Scotch Hill, PA, the daughter of the late Willis and Wilna (Ion) Smith. Hilma stayed home to help take care of the dairy farm and her children, she cooked for a lot of summer hay help over the years. Later she worked at the Watson Memorial Home as a cook. Hilma was a very humble person, she volunteered at the Warren County Fair for a number of years, she loved playing bingo and enjoyed puzzles. She was an accomplished yodeler and harmonica player, her and her husband, Ben, were members of the Stateline Draft Horse Club for many years. She enjoyed her family, she was a very special aunt to her nieces and nephews, and was a friend to many people. Hilma is survived by her children, Todd Kibbey and wife Kelly of Warren, and Lisa Kibbey Yarnall and husband Dan of Warren; sisters, Marie Nelson and husband Don of Warren, Vivian Greenwalt of Fisher, PA, and Irene Lencer of Leeper, PA; brothers, Jack Smith of Fisher, PA, and Willis Smith Jr. and wife Karen of Fisher, PA; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Hilma was preceded in death by her husband, Walter "Ben" Kibbey; son, Brian Kibbey; and sister, Wava Fox. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
