Helen L. Colvin, 75, of 41 Locust Street, Warren, PA, passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at the UPMC Hamot Medical Center.

Helen was born October 27, 1936, in Warren, PA., the daughter of the late Louis and Elizabeth Lane Benson. Helen was a lifelong area resident and with her husband a member of the First Church of God for forty-eight years where she served as a church historian and had done home visits for thirteen years.  Helen enjoyed her church, her family, and especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Phillip J. Colvin, whom she married on November 26, 1955; one son, Kerry Colvin and his wife Chris, Russell, PA.; two daughters, Ginger Morgan and her husband Darrell, Pittsburgh, PA.,  and Penny Chaffee and her husband Edmund, Russell, PA.; four grandchildren, Christopher Colvin, Kaitlyn Colvin, Shawn Morgan, and Darrell Morgan; four great grandchildren; Austin, Noah, Dylan, and Olyvya Morgan; a brother, Boyd Benson and his wife Alva, Palmyra, PA., and a sister, Bonnie Sobeck and her husband Tom, Erie, PA.; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Peterson - Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, on Saturday, April 7, from 5 to 8 p.m. and for one hour prior to a funeral service to be held at the First Church of God, on Monday April 9, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. William Hargenrader, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in the Warren County Memorial Park.
