Heidi Lynn Olsen, 48, of Warren, PA was welcomed into Heaven on March 19, 2019. Born May 15, 1970 in St. Paul, MN, she was the daughter of Larry and Kathy Olsen currently of Rockwell, NC. Heidi was a graduate of Warren Area High School who loved competing in Special Olympics swimming and track & field events. She was proud of working at Whirley Industries and ARC, as well as volunteering as a greeter at Warren General Hospital. Her bright smile and contagious laughter will be fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched. She also loved her beautiful home in Russell provided by Lakeshore Community Services. Her loving and compassionate caregivers from Lakeshore and other agencies over the years will forever hold a special place in her family's hearts. Throughout her life Heidi attended Calvary Baptist Church and the Interfaith Chapel. Her favorite song was "Jesus Loves Me". In addition to her parents, Heidi is survived by her grandmother Marjorie Olsen, her sisters, Wendy Haslet and her husband Michael Haslet of Bellefonte, PA, Brenda Gariepy and her husband Donald, along with their children Evelyn, Leason, Lillian and Ellasen, of Landis, NC, her aunts and uncles Karen and Gary Tremblay, Terry and Rita Hannold and Clara and Pastor Tim Olsen of Warren, PA, along with several cousins. Heidi was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Leason and Evelyn Hannold, and her paternal grandfather, Lee Olsen. Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home on Friday, March 22 from 5-7 pm and on Saturday March 23 from 10-11 am. A funeral service will immediately follow the Saturday reception. Rev. Tim Olsen and Rev. Nancy Schwanke, pastors, co-officiating.
