Harry Albert Kershaw, 94, of Canterbury Court, died Monday, July 14, 2014, at the Warren Manor. Mr. Kershaw was born January 26, 1920, in Warren, PA, the son of the late James and Emma Dyson Kershaw.
Harry served in the US Navy and served during World War II. After his service, he returned to Warren and worked as a welder for over 40 years at Struther's Wells, retiring in 1982. He was a member of the Wiltsie Community Church in Russell. Harry loved cars, camping and traveling, and had spent many winters in Florida.
He is survived by two daughters, Ethel M. Thomas, Hiddenite, NC, and Ellen L. Hubbard, and husband, Gary, Russell, PA; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death on June 23, 1982, by his wife, Mary Ellen Morris Kershaw, whom he married on October 21, 1939; his son, Gerald E. Kershaw; sister, Amy Kershaw Erickson; an infant grandson and his longtime companion, Gertrude Christy.
Calling hours will not be observed. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, August 1, at Warren County Memorial Park, 20050 Route 6, Warren, PA. Rev. Todd Venman, pastor, Wiltsie Community Church, will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Paws Along The River, 212 Elm Street, Warren, PA 16365.
