January 4, 1949 – August 16, 2020
Harry D. "Dan" Rosequist Jr., 71, of Warren, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2020 at UPMC Shadyside in Pittsburgh, PA, following a brief illness. Dan was born January 4th , 1949 in Warren to the late Harry D. Rosequist Sr. and Mary Waples Rosequist. A lifelong Warren resident, he was a 1966 graduate of Warren Area High School. He was employed at the National Forge Company for more than thirty years and then as a manager with John Anderson Construction, from which he retired. Dan was a PA Certified Umpire, officiating countless games, and a little league coach for his children and many others. Dan attended the Trinity United Methodist Church in Frewsburg, NY was a former Chief of the Starbrick VFD, enjoyed woodworking, the outdoors, and took pride in his home and surroundings. He especially loved and enjoyed his family and his grandchildren. A fun-loving personality, willingness to help others and hard-working presence, Dan was fondly known as "Donut Dan", "Big Dan", "Big Rosy but to him, "Papa" was the best. Dan is survived by his wife, Helen M. Fiscus Rosequist, whom he married on July 12, 1969; a daughter, Amanda Sue Rosequist Pyne and her husband Michael, of Baltimore, MD; a son, Eric Daniel Rosequist and his wife Jessica, of Frewsburg, NY; a brother; Theodore Rosequist and his wife Mona, of Russell, PA; five granddaughters, Amelia and Wilhelmina Pyne; Kaylynn, Brianna, and Ashlyn Rosequist and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. East, Warren, om Friday, August 21, 2020 from 2 to 5 pm. State COVID restrictions must be followed. A Celebration of Life service will be held immediately following at the Starbrick VFD Fire Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church Frewsburg NY (P.O. Box 544– Frewsburg NY 14738) or a Charity of your choice.
