Geneva C. Jones, 93, formerly of Melody Lane, Russell, PA, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2015, at Golden Living - Kinzua Valley of Warren, PA. Geneva was born July 4, 1922, in Farmington Twp., PA. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Anna Anderson. Geneva had formerly attended Scandia Covenant Church. She is survived by one daughter, Beverly Ellberg, of North Port, FL, and one son, Rev. Allan Jones, and wife, Linda, of Russell, PA. She also has four grandchildren, Christopher Jones, Ross Ellberg, and Beth Evans, all of Florida, and Elisabeth Dougherty and husband Jeffrey, of Warren, five great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Geneva was preceded in death on August 15, 1990, by her husband, Clarence Jones, Jr., whom she married June 14, 1941, in Russell; two sisters, Edith Danielson and Hildur Toner; and two brothers, Carl Anderson and Hjalmar Anderson. Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc. 1003 Penna. Ave. E., Warren, on Tuesday, August 25, from 11 a.m. to 12 noon, at which time, a funeral service will be held there, with Rev. Jon Meyer, pastor, Scandia Covenant Church, officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Russell, PA. The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Scandia Covenant Church.
