Gary Lee "Weeman" Hanson ll, 32, of Clarendon, PA, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2022, at UPMC Hamot in Erie, PA. Gary was born on May 30, 1990, in Warren, the son of the late Gary L. Hanson Sr. and Beverly J. Haight Hanson, who survives. Gary was a 2008 graduate of Sheffield High School. He was a laborer in a scrapyard for Segel & Sons, IronCarey, and Fox & Sons. Gary was known for being a family man and loved his wife and boys, they were his heart and soul. He enjoyed camping, four-wheeling, hunting, fires with friends, building anything, scraping, and anything that was a bit daring. Gary always had a smile on his face that could light up a room. People were naturally drawn to his out-going, inviting, fun nature. In addition to his mother, Gary is survived by his wife, Kimberly Yvonne Appling Hanson, whom he married on July 21, 2012; two children, Gary Lee Hanson lll, and William Parks Hanson; four sisters, Christina Hanson of South Dakota, Jessica Klein and companion Austin of Warren, Cassie Haight and companion Jake of Clarendon, Ashley Ringer and husband Danney of Warren, and one brother, Richard Hanson and companion Melissa of Warren; mother-in-law, Silka Raub of Kane, PA; sisters-in-law, Stephanie Appling of Warren and Courtney Barrett and husband Rob of Warren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, Gary is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Ralph and Roberta Haight; paternal grandparents, George and Rose Hanson; and Great Uncle James Farren. Friends will be received at Peterson-Blick Funeral Home Inc, 1003 Penna Ave. E., Warren, PA, on Friday, November 4, 2022, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at 11:00am, with Pastor Bill Beaty, officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to charity of choice.
