Gardner E. Muir, 53, of , Oak Run, ILL, died at Cottage Hospital, Galesburg, ILL., on Saturday, November 2, 2002, at 1:40 a.m.

Mr. Muir was born July 20, 1949, in Frewsburg, NY, the son of the late William and Lois Gardner Muir. Mr. Muir was Co-Owner and partner of H&H Industries and Hometown Hardware, Elmwood, where he served as executive Vice President.

He was a member of the American Legion, Elks Club, Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge, Zem Zem Temple, all of Warren, PA;  Maple Lane Country Club, and Elmwood Horeb Lodge #363 F&AM , both of Elmwood, Illinois.

He was also a member of National Association of Independent Lighting Distributors, International Municipal Signal Association, National Association of Tower Erectors, and was involved in other lighting organizations.

He is survived by his wife Sandra Lou Clepper Muir, whom he married, Dec. 7, 1974, in Youngsville, PA; 3 sons,  Travis Muir, Duhinda, Ill., Matthew Muir, Yates City, Ill, and Bradley Muir, Dahinda, Ill; and one grandson.

Friends may call at Peterson - Blick Funeral Home, Inc, 1003 Penn Ave., E., one half hour prior to a memorial service that will be held on Saturday November 9, at 1:00 p.m.,with Rev. Marcus Briggs, Warren General Hospital chaplain, officiating.

Burial will be in the Gibbs Hill Cemetery, Ludlow.
