Obituary

Frances A. Cederquist, 66, of Clarendon, died Sunday, February 14, 2016, at the Warren Manor.  Frances was born February 17, 1949, in Punxsutawney, PA. She was the daughter of the late G. Edwin and Esther A. (Utley) Swanson.


Frances was employed by the Blair Corporation as a supervisor in the finishing department.  She was a member of the ClarendonUnitedMethodistChurch and a former member of the Clarendon Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary.  She was avid QVC shopper and enjoyed reading.  Frances was also a fan of Richie Hebner, and always made sure to get tickets to see him when he would travel through the area with the Pittsburgh Pirates.


She is survived by her husband of 41 years, G. Eric Cederquist; her beloved dog, Brandy; three brothers, Byron Swanson, and wife, Sue, of Russell, Donald Swanson, and wife, Shiela, of Verona, VA, and John Swanson, and wife, Janet, of Bristow, VA; nieces and nephews, Heleena, Matt, Trevor, Becky, Travis and Ray Swanson, Kristen Vasquez and John Lewis; and several great-nieces and nephews.


In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Arvid and Hildur Swanson, and maternal grandparents, Harold and Alice Utley.


Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.  A public service will be announced in the spring.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Clarendon Volunteer Fire Department, 17 N. Main St., Clarendon, PA16313, or a Volunteer Fire Department of one's choice.
