Florence A. Nasman, 99, of 701 Rouse Avenue, Youngsville, PA, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2015, at the Rouse Home. Mrs. Nasman was born December 20, 1915, on Fox Hill, Pine Grove Township, the daughter of Martin and Minnie Strand Gage. She was a lifelong area resident and a graduate of the Russell High School. She is survived by two daughters, Arlene Chilcott (John), Traverse City MI., and Gloria Lukens, of Maui, HI., and one son, Kevin (Sue Ellen), of Stillwater, NY. She is also survived by six stepchildren, Lillian Cable, Ruth Gray, Larry Van Cise, Thomas Nasman, Linda Ferrie, and Gretchen Nasman; numerous grandchildren, great- grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; as well as, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Martin and Minnie Strand Gage, she was preceded in death by three husbands, Arthur Ellberg in March 1960, Ernest Van Cise, in September 1971, and Harry Nasman, in November 2001; a son, Darryl Ellberg, in January 2013; Harold, Walter, Richard, and Paul Gage; a sister, Ethel Sadler; five stepchildren; William Van Cise, Janet Brosius, Joann Van Cise, Josephine "Corky" Merrill and David Van Cise. Also son-in-law Lloyd Lukens. Florence was a member of the Cable Hollow Church for 90+ years, attended the Scandia Covenant Church and related organizations of both churches. She was also a member of both Russell and Scandia Volunteer Firemen's Auxiliaries. She provided a loving home/family for numerous foster children and was a lover of flowers. A private burial will be held at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Russell, officiated by Rev. John Chilcott. A "Celebration of Life" for Florence and son, Darryl, will take place at the Cable Hollow Community Church on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 11 A.M. Memorial donations may be made to the Cable Hollow Church or an organization of choice.
