Obituary

Fay S. Weirich, of Russell, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2014.

Fay was born October 28, 1924, in Wetmore, and was raised in Ludlow.  She is the daughter of the late Gustave "Mike" and Myrtle Youngberg Stenberg.

Mrs. Weirich moved to Buffalo in 1942 and was a riveter for Curtis-Wright during World War II.  She moved to Warren in 1944, and had worked for Sylvania, retiring after thirty years of service in 1984.  Fay enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Gallagher, of Warren, and Janice Kuhn, and husband, Richard, of Charlotte, NC; two sons, Clinton Weirich, II, of Slippery Rock, and Jack Weirich, of Youngsville; two sisters, Doris Harvot, of Fort Meyers, FL, and Mae Mack, of Cheektowaga, NY; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her oldest son, Dan R. Weirich, in 1969; and her brother, Irvin G. Stenberg, in 2008.

A private funeral service will be held at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Warren County Memorial Park.
