Evelyn Mae Jenkins, 96, and formerly of Kinzua, Pa. and South Street, Warren, passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at the Warren Manor.

Evelyn was born September 14, 1915, in Aberdeen, Idaho the daughter of the late George and Maggie Esarey Smith. She was a 1933 graduate of Kinzua High School. Evelyn was very handy around the home and loved cooking and baking. She also loved to travel, visiting forty-six states and most of Canada, loved her family and after the passing of her mother, took care of her brothers and sisters at the age of 13.  She was a member of the Warren Senior Center at the Pennsylvania Ave. location since 1985, the Golden Gems and a former member of the Akeley Grange. Evelyn attended the First Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by a daughter, Sally Crouse and her husband Stanley, Warren; two sons, Clarence ''Butch'' Jenkins and his wife Joan, Warren, and John Jenkins and his wife Melinda, Youngsville; a sister, Jessie Hudson, Buffalo, NY; ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, ten great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death in October 1982 by her husband Clifford T. "Toot" Jenkins, who she married on November 23, 1935 in Frewsburg, NY; two brothers, Richard and Clarence Smith, a sister, Ruth Smith and three grandchildren, Craig Jenkins, Jimmy Jenkins and  Merry Crouse.

Friends will be received for one hour prior to a memorial service to be held at the Peterson - Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, on May 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dr. G. A. Hankins, pastor, First Church of the Nazarene, officiating.
