Esther E. Allen, 80, of Warren, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2014, at Warren General Hospital.  Esther was born October 24, 1933, in Brookville, PA, the daughter of the late Frank and Wilma Orcutt McManigle.

Esther had been previously employed by Warren State Hospital as a nurse's aid, and then worked at Sylvania, and later at the Barley Home in North Warren as a nurse's aide.  She attended the First Church of the Nazarene.  She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.

She is survived by her husband, Edward H. Allen, whom she married June 14, 1957; and three daughters: Robin L. Stimmell, and husband, Dan, of Warren, PA, Gail A. Givens, of High Point, NC and Kathleen Y. Allen.

In addition to her parents, Esther is preceded in death by her infant son, Matthew D. Allen; one sister, Barbara Aljoe; and three brothers, James, George and Walter McManigle.

Services will be held privately, and at the convenience of the family.
