Obituary

Erin Rae Briggs, 32, of Russell, passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2014, at the John and Orpha Blair Hospice House.  Erin was born May 13, 1982, in Warren, the daughter of Karen R. Briggs, of Russell and the late Gerry R. Briggs.

Erin was a graduate of Eisenhower High School.  She obtained her Bachelor's Degree at Taylor University.  She was employed as a software developer in St. Louis.  Erin was a member of South City Church in St. Louis.  Locally, she attended Praise! Fellowship, and grew up attending the Cable Hollow Church.

Erin is survived by her mother, sister, Anna Briggs; her maternal grandparents, Donald and Wilda Jean Baker; her paternal grandmother, Sallie Briggs; and several cousins.

In addition to her father, Erin is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Raymond Briggs.

One of Erin's greatest loves was horses. She was a member of the American Morgan Horse Association and as a child she camped and worked at Miracle Mountain Ranch.

Friends will be received at Praise! Fellowship, 7541 Market Street, Russell, PA on Sunday, October 5, 2014, from 2 to 3 p.m., at which time, a memorial service will be held there, with Rev. Rick Rohlin, pastor, officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations to be made to the Miracle Mountain Ranch at www.mmm.org or to the Small Cell Ovarian Cancer research at www.smallcellovarian.org.
