Elsa M. Cottrell, 88, of 310 Liberty Street, and formerly of Pleasant Township went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 1, 2014, at the Rouse Home.  Elsa was born December 2, 1925, in Warren, PA the daughter of the late Werner and Helga (Lindquist) Nyberg.

Mrs. Cottrell was a 1943 graduate of Youngsville High School and had worked for Visual Services for 12 years as a program coordinator, then worked at Blair Corporation for six years, retiring in 1986. Elsa had also enjoyed crocheting, doing puzzles, playing cards and spending time with her family.  In her younger years, Elsa enjoyed baking wedding cakes.

She is survived by three sons, Jack Cottrell and Gary Cottrell, both of MI, and Gregory Cottrell, of WI; one daughter, Sheila Gibson, and husband, Bradley, of Youngsville, PA; one sister, Helen Clark, and husband Robert, of Youngsville, PA; two brothers, Henry Nyberg, of North Warren, and Donald Nyberg, and wife, JoAnne, of Carlisle, PA; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Alan D. Cottrell; two sisters, Marian Wood and Verna Castano; and one brother, Evert Nyberg.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.  Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery.
